Sports, Sports, and MORE Sports

This is the story of our lives lately . . . and we LOVE it!!! Soccer, baseball, soccer, baseball . . . Life is full of it. I took a ton of pictures of Emma's first game today. She looked so cute in her uniform, even though she is swimming in it. She hustled the whole time and listened well to the coach, but most importantly had a great time. We are looking forward to a fun season ahead with the Turf Angels.

Tyler got his uniform just before the game so I didn't get many pictures of him today. I will take some more ASAP. He got to play one of his favorite positions today . . . . . Believe it or not he loves catcher. He also hit a HOME RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! He crushed the ball over the left fielders head and was able to run all the way around the bases before the ball could be thrown in. I thought I was going to cry and and Tyler was estactic. It was amazing!!!!!!!!!! The final score of the game was 20-0. It's going to be an awesome year with the Shockers.

2011-2012 Here we come

We had an AWESOME day. The kids woke up full of excitement and enjoyed every minute of the start of the new school year. Tyler said his favorite part of the day was everything and Emma said hers was eating in the cafeteria (instead of her classroom). Can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us!!!!!

Sorry this one is a little blurry but I wanted to show you their cute lunch boxes!!

A VERY Hot Ranger's Game

We went to a Ranger's game last weekend and it was SO hot. 122 degrees on the field. We were able to go on the field before the game which was really fun but HOT. The Ranger's beat the A's and the kids are quite the Ranger's fans these days.

Super Regional Time!!!

We just got back from a quick trip to Austin. UT is in the Super Regionals and if they win today they head to the College World Series. The game last night was amazing but the whole experience of last night is something Tyler will NEVER forget. After the game Tyler wanted to wait around for some autographs. While we were waiting a man walked up and gave Tyler a game ball. You can see the look on his face on one of the pictures below (if you double click on all the pictures you can see them in full size). He was able to get one autograph on his hat but he really wanted to try for a few more (especially for their second baseman since second base is his favorite position). We walked over to UT's locker room and began to wait. One player came out to talk with some family friends and saw Tyler out of the corner of his eye. He walked over and Tyler asked him "Can I have an autograph?" He signed Tyler's game ball and then asked him if he wanted him to take the ball back into the locker room and have the whole team sign it? Tyler nodded his head and was so overwhelmed. It was precious. After a few minutes the player returned with the ball covered in signatures (including the second baseman). Tyler just stared at the ball and said "WOW" followed by "I will never forget this night!" I wish you all could have been there!!! It was such a special moment. As we were walking out a grounds keeper walked up and gave Tyler another game ball. A few boys saw this and ran up to try to catch the grounds keeper but he had already left. Tyler looked at them and saw their disappointment and said "Hey do you want this ball? I already have another one?" He then handed them the unsigned ball and they were so excited. Tyler's face lit up and he said "I bet I just made them really happy." WHAT A GREAT NIGHT!!!!!!!!
