The Perfect Day

Today was perfect . . . We spent the morning cleaning out our closets. Lantana puts on a community garage sale in the spring and today was the big day. We were so excited to get rid of all of our junk. The kids decided it was more fun to play with our neighbor, Sutton, than it was to hang out and sell stuff. So we spent the first half the morning playing with Sutton at our house and then we went over to his house to play. Meanwhile poor Dave was stuck selling all our things. We spent the rest of the day playing outside. We rode around the neighborhood and played some baseball. Then Kaiden and Kaitrina (Andrew and Sharon' children) stopped by to visit us this evening. We played with sidewalk chalk, sidewalk paint, and had a squirt gun fight. Everyone is feeling well and the house was filled with smiles and a lot of laughter today!

Let's play ball . . . .

Having some fun with Kaiden and Kaitrina in our Spiderman tent.

A Afternoon on the Slip and Slide

The weather today was AMAZING!!!! The kids and I decided to head to Target to buy a slip and slide since it was warm enough to get wet. They were so excited and couldn't wait to get home and try it out. As you can see we had a great time. Enjoy the slideshow and video clips!

A Morning in the Playroom

Well I tried all morning long to get the kids to go outside and play with me. It was a beautiful morning so I made some suggestions . . . A bike ride, a walk, a trip to the park . . . But all I heard was "Mom we just want to stay home and play." So that is what we did for about 3 hours straight. In fact we had so much fun in the playroom that we decided to eat lunch up there on the block table and chairs we had just made.

Emma says she wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up so here she is practicing!

More practice.

Tyler was practicing too. Although he says he's going to play for the Yankees when he grows up!

Tyler and Emma play so well together. We are very lucky parents.

Having lunch in the playroom. How do you like our table and chairs?

Here's another video clip just for the grandmas. I know how much you love them. Tyler has been singing songs around the house all the time lately. He's practicing for a school performance next month. Here's a clip of him singing away. I am going to work on a video clip of him batting and reading ASAP. Both are amazing to watch!

Our First 3D Experience

We've had a great weekend, however it ended with a bang (I'll explain later). Tyler's baseball game was rained out yesterday so we decided to take the kids to see How To Train Your Dragon in 3D. They LOVED it. Emma kept shouting "Look I can touch the movie." throughout the entire movie while was Tyler saying "This is so cool. Amazing. Awesome." I have to admit it was a pretty cute kid movie. After the movies we went out to lunch and then over to Barnes and Noble. This morning we worked on some Mother's Day gifts for the grandmas in our life and have just been hanging out at home since then. Miss Emma seemed a little under the weather this evening. I learned a valuable lesson today . . . When you are holding a child who looks as if he/she might vomit, do NOT talk or open your mouth. No need to explain any further but I am still recovering from this experience. I have to say this was a first for me and hopefully it will be the last time I ever experience anything like it again. Motherhood :) Emma is still running a fever but is resting quietly. Hopefully she will be feeling better tomorrow.

Here's a picture of Emma in her 3D glasses.

Tyler wanted to tell all of you about the movie! Enjoy:)

Tyler also wanted to give Grandma Carol, Grandma Pam, and Great-grandma a little hint as to what we were up to today. I tried to get Emma to help us but as you can see she wasn't up for it . . . Look at that face.

Razor Fun

The kids love their razor scooters. One of their favorite things to do is ride their razors on the trail behind our house.

Off they go!

We often stop to hunt for bugs.

Tyler found a roly poly.

What cute kids!!!!!!!

Easter Fun in California

We had a great time in California over Easter . . . We were able to spend time with both families and catch up with some friends too. A BIG thank you to everyone who made our trip so special. Here's a slideshow because I took a TON of pictures. Enjoy!!
