TROUBLE

Yesterday Dave, Tyler, and I were sitting in the kitchen when I asked Dave if he knew where Emma went. When he said "No," and she was no where to be seen, I knew we were in trouble. Here's where we found her.

She said she was just feeding Blacky. Too bad it was the WHOLE bag of cat food. As we were cleaning up the mess Tyler asked me "Mom, Did I do stuff like this when I was two?" I told him that he didn't because he was too busy running around to get into this kind of trouble.

The Day After the Big Storm

Wow it snowed yesterday. I think we had about 8-10 inches of snow. We were a little worried that Grandpa Steve, Grandma Carol, and Logan's flight would be canceled. But luckily they were the first flight allowed in from Sacramento today.

Our house the day after the big storm.

Logan loved all of the snow. Here's a picture of his snowman. It didn't last long because he let Tyler knock it over shortly after I took this picture.

The kids loved tackling Logan in the snow. He is such a great cousin. We love you Logan.

We took a trip to Cabela's to stock up on fishing supplies. Too bad is was too cold to fish when Grandpa Steve was here. But he got us all set up for our next fishing trip.

Let it Snow . . . Again!!!!!!

I don't know what's more exciting around here . . . Christmas or snow. I woke up to the kids screaming "It's snowing. Let's go outside. Hurry let's get our snow clothes on." Here are some pictures of us enjoying all of the snow.

The front of our house.

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

Tyler's preschool class is having a Valentine's Day party on Friday. I asked him what kind of Valentine's Day cards he wanted to go buy and he said "I don't want to buy any Mom. I'd rather make my own at home. Is that okay?" How cute . . . So here is a picture of one that he made for his friend Kincaid. I thought they turned out pretty good and was so proud of Tyler for folding, cutting, and writing everything on his own.

Goodbye Grandma and Grandpa

Well my Mom and Dad left yesterday! The kids keep asking me how come they had to leave? We had a great visit with them and are missing them already. Here are a few more pictures from their visit.

The weather was a little cold while they were here so we decided to play in the garage. Here's a picture of Grandpa Daryl riding Tyler's plasma car and Emma riding Tyler's old bike. Grandpa you are such a good sport!!!!!!!!

We had some great hockey matches in the garage. Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa for the hockey set.

Grandma and Grandpa wanted to celebrate Emma's birthday while they were here. Of course she wanted to have a My Little Pony cake (for the second year in a row).

We had both kids blow out the candles since it was just Tyler's birthday too.

He's a picture of Tyler telling us what his wished for . . . He wished that he could play baseball with his Dad everyday!

Happy Birthday Tyler

It's hard to believe our little man is 5 years old today. It seems like just yesterday we were heading to the hospital during half time of the Superbowl to meet Tyler for the first time. Tyler is such an amazing young man and one of the things I love most about him is that he always has fun no matter what he is doing . . . including going to Medieval Times. The kids enjoyed the 2 hour Medieval tournament and feast. Although Tyler was so mesmerized by the knights that he didn't touch his dinner. The knights competed in a variety of different medieval games, including sword fighting and jousting. You have to eat with your hands, as they did during medieval times, and the kids thought this was great. I thought it was MESSY. He are some pictures of Tyler opening some presents earlier in the day and then from our trip to Medieval Times.

Nerf tag from Uncle Derek. This was a HUGE hit!

A Trio Castle from Mom and Dad. Tyler loves Trio blocks.

Checking out his new street hockey set after opening his new razor scooter.

I posted this picture so you could see the purple tutu Emma has been living in for the past several days. Thanks Uncle Derek!

Emma loved Medieval Times . . . especially the princess.

Passing the Time

How do you pass the time until your much anticipated guests arrive? Well we decided to decorate their room! The kids and I spent the morning making projects for Grandpa Daryl, Grandma Pam, and Uncle Derek. Here's a picture of my parent's bed after the kids were finished decorating it.

I recently bought journals for the kids and we try to write in them every night. Tyler has LOVED journaling. I usually ask him to draw a picture and then write a word/sentence to describe his picture. This morning he did the following entry ALL by himself. He made a picture of his whole family (Tyler, Uncle Derek, Dad, Mom, Emma, Grandma, and Grandpa). I was so proud of him for trying to spell all of our names. Great job Tyler!!!!
