ICE

Since Kirstie is in town we decided to take an early trip to see ICE. We came better prepared this year with jackets, hats, gloves, and warm shoes. We had such a great time. Last year we came just before Christmas and it was so crowded. This year is was pretty empty and the kids were able to go down the ice slides as many times as they could handle in the 9 degree weather. The theme this year was Charlie Brown's Christmas . . . . enjoy the pics!!

Having fun.

Kirstie we had such a great time with you.

Happy Halloween!!!!!!

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend. It started Friday with Emma's party at school, followed by the Monster Mile on Saturday, and Halloween on Sunday. Throw in a birthday party, a couple of World Series games, some costume changes, and a little pumpking carving and you've got our weekend. We also had our first visit from the Great Pumpkin. Such a cute idea and I loved getting rid of all of our Halloween candy. Here come the pictures!!!!

October Fun

October is by far one of my favorite months in Texas. The weather is amazing and there is so much to do around here. I wish all of you could come visit and share in the fun . . . . We've been busy at the pumpkin patch, Tyler's school carnival, and Lantana's Fall Festival the last two weekends.

Pumpkin Patch . . . . My battery went dead before we actually got into the pumpkin patch, but I was able to get a few pictures of the kids waiting for the train. I'm sure we will go again sometime soon so I will take more pictures next time.

Tyler's school carnival . . . . The kids had so much fun at the Wolf Fest (Tyler's school mascot is a wolf). Tyler loved getting his hair painted and trying to dunk the teachers in the dunk tank. Emma loved the pony rides.

Lantana's Fall Festival . . . . We woke up early this morning and walked down to Lantana's Fall Festival. Face painting, balloon animals, jump houses, and more was waiting for us.

California

Well we are back and still recovering from our wonderful, but quick, trip to California. We had so much fun and it was great to see all of the family. Congratulations to Cassy and Justin. We are so happy for you both and thank you for including us in your special day! Here come a ton of pictures from the wedding. I also uploaded a few pictures from a trip to the park with Uncle Steve and a trip to the cemetery to see Great-Grandpa. Tyler asked us before we left if we could go and visit Great-Grandpa when we were in California . . . . It was truly an amazing experience to take him to the cemetery. Love you all . . . .

Some Exciting News

The kids wanted to share some exciting news with all of you . . . .

For Tyler it has to do with baseball. What a surprise!!! After each game the coach picks a players to give the game ball to. Tyler received the game ball yesterday for hustling after the ball and shaking off a hit he took to the chest. It meant so much to Tyler. He wanted to show you his game ball and his new Halloween costume. I can't believe all of the Halloween stores are open already.

Emma also wanted to show you her Halloween costume and some of her new dance moves. She's always coming up with new ones these days.

Miss you all and can't wait to see some of you soon . . . .

Tyler's Biggest Fan

Emma loves to go to Tyler's baseball games. She cheers him on throughout the game and talks to him every time he walks up to the plate. She also loves to visit the snack bar at least once per game for a sucker and some Gatorade. She usually doesn't enjoy the games as much when it's hot outside but today was an exception. I wonder why? I think she has the best seat in the house!

Our Weekend Visitor

We have a visitor for the weekend. Tyler's class rabbit is at our house and he is constant entertainment for the kids. They feed him, give him water, read stories to him, and want to let him out ALL the time. The only problem is that he loves to nibble on everything in sight and Blacky thinks he would be a fun playmate. The kids have banished Blacky to our room to make sure Thumper stays safe. I don't think Blacky knows what to do with all of his free time and might even be a bit lonely.

Crazy Beautiful Life

Wow is this true of us lately . . . . Between school, baseball, birthday parties, barbecues, block parties, and a Ranger's game we have been so busy. It's been a lot of fun but I have to say I'm looking forward to the mellow weekend ahead that only includes 2 baseball games! Here are a few pictures of all of the fun we've been having and I'll work on some more baseball pictures this weekend. It was SO hot last weekend that I didn't take many pictures.

Enjoy!

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Tyler's first day of kindergarten and we couldn't be more proud of him. I went upstairs wake him up this morning and he was already dressed, with brushed his teeth and bed made. He was so excited. Dave and Emma dropped him off at his classroom and he didn't even turn around to say goodbye. He quickly ran in to play with all of his classmates. I checked on him several times throughout the day only to find my smiling, handsome, little man seeming to enjoy every minute of kindergarten. I have to say I fought back tears most of the day . . . . Tyler on the other hand is ready for more and said "Mom school is so fun. My favorite part of the day was the whole day and I can't wait to go back tomorrow." Love you Tyler!!!!!!!!!

Tyler picked out this outfit . . . . He didn't feel like wearing the collared shirt I had chosen for the day!

Let's Play Ball

Well another baseball season is upon us and we found out this week that Tyler will be on the Twins this season. We are trying out a different league that's a little closer to home and so far it seems GREAT. His first game will be right after Labor Day.

Here's a picture of Tyler as he was heading out the door for his first practice. He was sooooo excited!

Emma's First Day of School

Today was Emma's first day of school. She was a little nervous but once she met some new friends she did just fine. She loved getting to wear her new uniform.
