Summer Fun

Well it's HOT.  We are pretty much indoors or at the pool these days . . . . unless we make a trip to one of the many water parks around us.  We had fun today in the lazy river and sliding down all of the water slides.  But the Dippin Dots might have been their favorite part of the trip.

4th of July

We spent the week of the 4th in California.  We had a great time and even got to spend some time at one of our favorite places . . . .Lake Almanor!!!!!!!!!  It's become an annual tradition and we LOVE it.

VBS

We LOVE VBS!!!!!! The kids and I spent the week before VBS helping the church prep for the 1,000 plus kids that were registered and then thoroughly enjoyed our week of VBS. I was able to get an insiders view this year since I helped out with preschool crafts and it was amazing.

Good-bye Preschool

How can it be that Emma will be starting kindergarten this fall?  It seems like just yesterday she was crawling around the house chasing Tyler.  She is so exited to be coming to EP Rayzor with Tyler and I!!!  I can guarantee you that I am going to tear up on her first day of school!!!!!!

Sports Fever

We've had a busy end to the school year loaded with all kinds of sports fun.  We hosted Emma's end of the season soccer party at our house and then Tyler's baseball team had a pool party (as you can hear in the video clip).  We are so blessed to have such an amazing group of kids and coaches on both teams.

We went to a Ranger's game this past weekend.  Tyler really wanted to go early to try to get a few autographs . . . so we arrived at 5 for a 7:00 game!!!!  But he managed to get one autograph so it was well worth it.  As always we had a great time at the ballpark.

My mom and dad came to visit around Mother's Day.  We had an AMAZING time with them!!!  We were busy with school, sports, Lego Land, fishing and more.  Here come all the pictures to prove it:

Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a great Easter. We spent the morning hanging at home and the afternoon with Tyler's baseball coach and his family (and some friends). We had a great time and came home with a ton of eggs.

Today was one of those absolutely amazing days. The kids and I had an opportunity to volunteer with our church at a local apartment complex. Our church was putting on Easter event for the kids in the complex. I can honestly say that I don't know if I have ever been so proud of my 2 children. They helped set up, participated in all the games, and were quite the helpers during the egg hunt. Emma told me "Mommy today we were like Jesus." As we were leaving we saw a little girl who had missed the event and looked quite sad. Tyler and Emma both reached into their baskets to grab and egg for the girl. Her little face just lit up. They had so much fun and I feel so blessed that we were able to help with this event. It was powerful. Tyler and Emma talked about this experience for days and still know all of the kids' names. They can't wait to see them again soon.

Happy Birthday Emma

How can it be that Emma is 5? She is growing up so quickly. She chose a family trip over a party and absolutely LOVED Sea World and can't wait to go back. At the moment she wants to be a marine biologist when she grows up, loves animals of any kind, and simply can't get enough stuffed animals. She adores her brother and is quite a helper around the house. We love you Emma Grace!!

San Antonio

What an amazing trip. We all had sooo much fun visiting San Antonio. The River Walk, the Alamo, and of course Sea World. The only down side of the whole trip was the fact that we got SOAKED during the whale show at Sea World. I mean SOAKED!!!!!!!!!!!! We thought we were in great, dry, seats. But we were soooo wrong. It will be a great memory for years to come.

Spring Break Fun

We leave for San Antonio in a few days but until then we are staying busy . . .

We went roller skating. It's still hard for the kids but they love it and had a great time. Plus I didn't fall this trip and I am REALLY excited about that.

We are playing a LOT of ladder ball. I think the kids might be addicted to it. . .thanks to the Shields Family!!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

It's become a tradition of ours to try and catch a leprechaun every St. Patrick's Day. Those leprechauns are quite tricky so they always manage to get away and leave some mischief behind.

Well we didn't catch one but look at the mess they left behind . . .along with turning our milk green and all of our toilets green. Maybe we will catch one next year?

The Trip

Well the trip was absolutely amazing. We didn't take very many pictures but it was quite an experience. We sure missed the kids are are soooo grateful to both sets of grandparents for watching the kids while we were gone.

Tyler's Birthday Party

Tyler finally got his wish . . . He's been hoping for a birthday party at the Ranger's Stadium for years and yesterday his wish came true. We had an amazing time at the ballpark.

Happy Birthday Tyler

Well yesterday was the big day and it was AMAZING!!!!! Tyler got to celebrate his big day with his dad at school. Dave was the Watch Dog . . . The Watch Dog program is where dads volunteer at the school for the day. Then it was off to Build-a-Bear and Rain Forest Cafe. We had a great time celebrating and can't wait for his birthday party this weekend at the Ranger's Stadium!!!!

Over the weekend Tyler spent his birthday money on some Legos and his first set of golf clubs. Thank you grandmas and grandpas and great-grandma!!!

A Month of Firsts

Well it's been an exciting few weeks around here for Tyler. He got his first pair of glasses and lost his first tooth (well 2 to be exact). Tyler had been getting quite a few headaches and always seemed to be rubbing his eyes so I decided it was time to see the doctor. Sure enough his left eye was 20/50!!!! He insisted on sports glasses and LOVES them. Then earlier this week one of his permanent teeth broke threw before his baby tooth had fallen out so we made a trip to the dentist. The dentist noticed that not only was this tooth in trouble but so was the one next to it. So he pulled 2 teeth yesterday. Tyler was so brave and SO excited for his first visit from the Tooth Fairy. He woke up at 5:30 this morning to see what the Tooth Fairy had brought for him!!!!!!!
